Congratulations to Andrew Grieder and Azim Haque for winning the Student Postdoc Team Science award for Quantum Information Science at the 2025 DOE 2025 EFRC-Hub-CMS-CCS PI Meeting for their work on chirality transfer and spin selectivity in hybrid metal halide semiconductors! Link to publication.
This award is the culmination of inter-center collaboration with exceptional theory and computational methods developed at the ADEPTS CCS and the application of those methods in collaboration with extraordinary experimentalist involved at CHOISE EFRC.
ADEPTS (Ab-initio Density-matrix Exascale-Parallelized Transport for Spin-Selectivity is a DOE Computational Chemical Sciences (CCS) center, aiming at developing first-principles quantum dynamics and transport softwares with exascale computing capabilities and a focus on spin-related phenomena in solids.
CHOISE (Center for Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Semiconductors for Energy) is an Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC) of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science which brings together world-leading experts to enable new insights and advances not otherwise possible in spin dynamics, hot-carrier utilization, and light emission.
